Foundation Training in Dermal Fillers
Our 2 day foundation Dermal Fillers course will equip you with the knowledge and skill to carry out the most commonly requested facial aesthetic injectable treatments. Pre study manuals will be provided in advance of the course so that on the day, this will simply be re-enforced, enabling us to focus more on the practical hands-on training.
The course runs over a 2 day period and includes in-depth anatomy and physiology and live models.
Your comprehensive hands-on training will be supervised by experienced aesthetic trainer in either small groups or on a one to one basis.
Delegates can either choose this two day foundation course, or opt for our 4 day Combined Course which includes our Foundation Level Botulinum Toxin training and Foundation Dermal Fillers training together.
The course is aimed at medics and non medics who wish to add to their skill set.
PLEASE NOTE THAT UNLESS YOU ARE A NURSE PRESCRIBER OR A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL YOU WILL BE REQUIRED BY LAW TO HAVE A PRESCRIBER LINKED TO YOUR BUSINESS TO PRESCRIBE THE BOTULINUM FOR CLIENTS
Who can attend & Pre Requisite:
(To attend you must meet one of the below criteria)
- Medical professional registered to a medical body (e.g NMC, GMC, GDC, GPhC etc.)
- Level 3 NVQ in Beauty Therapy
- 6 Months experience in advanced beauty treatment (e.g SPMU, Microblading, Microneedling) WITH 6 A&P Level 3
- 12 months experience in advanced beauty treatments (e.g SPMU, Microblading, Microneedling)
Aims & Objectives:
- To gain an understanding of the use of dermal fillers in the face.
- To appreciate and have knowledge of the different types of fillers currently available and the pros and cons of each.
- Discuss and have appreciation of various injection techniques.
- To understand the anatomical considerations when using dermal filler.
- Understand the importance of accurate patient assessment from the initial consultation through to the actual treatment itself by watching a series of live demonstrations.
- To understand how to carry out the procedures by undertaking a practical workshop (hands on workshop session) on a live patient
- using a dermal filler for either lip augmentation, peri oral lines, nose to mouth lines.
- Level 3 Cert in First aid and anaphylaxis
- Dealing with complications/complaints
- Industry guidelines (GMC & HEE)

By the end of this intensive 2-day foundation course, you will be able to:
Confidently dermal fillers
This course will fully equip you for your aesthetic practice, enabling you to undertake basic and advanced aesthetic procedures on your patients. You will learn a vast range techniques for different aesthetic indications.
Apply ethics and law in aesthetic medicine
Good practice is essential for a long-term career in aesthetics. Have an understanding of how to protect yourself and your patients legally and ethically.
Incorporate psychology into your consultations
Recognising healthy and unhealthy psychological drivers is crucial for good practice in aesthetic medicine. Understand the signs of body dysmorphia, and how to deal with patients who may need to be refused treatment.
The course will be taught by an expert in their field who are dedicated to providing you with the highest standards of training at the academy

After Completion Of This Course
You’ll need a prescriber for Botox but not for dermal filler. The rules are different because Botox is a MEDICINE whereas filler is a MEDICAL DEVICE. Details will be covered within this course.
You have an option to do each course separately or combined: Dermal Fillers and Botox over 4 days plus pre study.
Our centre provides support after the course as well as during the Course. Dates to suit your needs and requirements,
