Who is this qualification for?
This is the second stage in becoming a beauty therapist, this course is a natural progression for the student who has successfully completed their Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy, it is also aimed at the more mature student who would like to increase and advance their knowledge and beauty therapy skills.
Why is this qualification most suitable?
The Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy is a qualification providing advancing skills and knowledge that employers require for you to work as a beauty therapist in a salon, spa or health club.

What does this qualification cover?

VTCT qualification covers the following units
- Provide Body Electrical treatments
- Provide Facial Electrical treatments
- Provide Body Massage treatments
- Provide Electrical Epilation treatments
- Monitor procedures to safely control work operations
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities
- Provide Stone Therapy treatments
1 day plus salon clinic attendance per week for 20 weeks, this includes two IQA assessments. Home study is required as this is a fast & intensive course.
Focus Awards has the following units
- Provide Body massage
- Promote and sell products and services to clients
- Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon
- Provide Facial Electrotherapy treatments
- Provide Body Electrotherapy treatments
- Provide Electrical Epilation treatments
- Apply Stone Therapy massage
- Provide Electrical Epilation
1 day plus salon clinic attendance per week for 11 weeks, this includes two IQA assessments. Home study is required as this is a fast & intensive course.
What could this qualification lead to?
Completion of the Level 3 Beauty Therapy Diploma will provide students with an nationally recognized qualification and enable students to pursue employment as a Beauty Specialist in Salons, Some may even go on to open their own salon or set up their own beauty therapist business working from home, and some may advance to work as a lecturer.
