1. Statutory cancellation rights

Where a course or service is purchased entirely through our website, by telephone, email, WhatsApp or another form of distance communication, a consumer will normally have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of entering into the contract. Different rules may apply where services begin or digital content is supplied during that period at the customer’s express request.

Where a customer expressly requests that a service begins during the cancellation period, we may deduct a reasonable and proportionate amount for what has already been supplied. Where digital content or platform access is supplied with the customer’s prior express consent and acknowledgement, the customer may lose the right to cancel that digital-content element once supply begins.

2. Training courses

Deposits

A course deposit reserves the learner’s place and is credited towards the total course fee. After any applicable statutory cancellation period has expired, the deposit is non-refundable where the Academy is not responsible for the cancellation, provided it represents a reasonable reservation payment disclosed before purchase.

Cancellation more than 30 days before the course starts

Payments made above the deposit will be refunded, less reasonable and non-recoverable costs already incurred specifically for the learner. These may include awarding-body registration, examination, certification, administration, course-material and non-recoverable payment-processing costs.

Cancellation fewer than 30 days before the course starts

We may retain the deposit and an amount representing our reasonable net losses arising directly from the cancellation. This may include non-recoverable registration, administration, tutor, venue, equipment, materials and payment-processing costs, together with lost income where the reserved place cannot reasonably be filled.

We will take reasonable steps to reduce our loss and will take account of costs saved and whether the place is filled by another learner. We will not retain more than our reasonable net loss.

On or after the course start date

No change-of-mind, withdrawal or non-attendance refund will normally be provided from the published course start date. This includes deciding not to proceed, failure to attend, personal or family circumstances, illness, pregnancy, relocation, employment or childcare difficulties, failure to obtain funding, finance, a loan or visa, or failure to complete required coursework, assessments, practical treatments or attendance.

This does not affect statutory remedies where the course is faulty, misdescribed, not supplied with reasonable care and skill, or the Academy is otherwise in breach of contract.

Transfers and non-attendance

Failure to attend does not cancel the learner’s contract and does not automatically entitle the learner to a refund or transfer. Course fees, deposits and places are non-transferable unless we agree otherwise in writing. Any agreed transfer is subject to availability, outstanding balances and reasonable additional costs.

3. Blood testing services

Blood testing purchases are separate from training courses and are not governed by the course cancellation provisions above.

Once the blood sample has been taken, sent to the laboratory, or the laboratory testing service has otherwise begun, no refund is available for a change of mind. This is because the clinical and laboratory service has begun and costs have been incurred.

Before the blood testing service begins, any cancellation will be considered in accordance with applicable statutory rights and any reasonable, non-recoverable costs already incurred. No term in this policy removes a customer’s statutory rights where a blood testing service is faulty, misdescribed or not provided with reasonable care and skill.

4. Cancellation by Beautiful World Training Academy

If we cancel a course or are unable to provide a purchased service, we may offer an alternative date, a suitable transfer or a refund for the part not supplied. A customer will not be required to accept an alternative where the law entitles them to a refund.

5. How to cancel

Cancellation must be communicated through a clear written statement sent using the contact details published on our website. Please include your full name, order or enrolment number, the course or service purchased, the purchase date, the course or appointment date and the contact details used when purchasing.

The effective cancellation date will normally be the date on which we receive the written cancellation notice.

6. Refund processing

Where a refund is due, it will normally be returned using the original payment method. Statutory refunds will be processed within the period required by law. Other agreed refunds will normally be processed within 14 days of approval. Bank and payment-provider processing times are outside our control.
